We’re excited to reveal, for the first time, a sneak peek at most of our nearly-finished Butterfly Queen’s wings! This montage is our first test photos of these, as the wings have yet to be fully assembled - these represent 6 of our 8 sets of wings, and they will be worn by our Queens: Kayla Jo, Melodee, Evgeniya Radilova, Ali Luminescent, Kai Altair, Dina Satti, Madeleine Belle, and Natasha King.
Our wings were custom designed and handmade by the amazing talents at Randy Carfagno Productions and James Vogel. Each butterfly wing is photo-realistic on both sides to their individual species!
We are getting closer - with all your generous help, I’m thrilled to say we are at 65% of our goal! But there’s still another 35% to go, and remember - Kickstarter is all-or-nothing - so with just 3 days left, please continue to help us spread the word wherever you can. The Butterfly Queens will thank you!

Our first set of real Butterfly Wings for the film are completed! Thanks again to James Vogel and Randy Carfagno for their amazing craftsmanship. The best part is that when worn, they move just like real butterfly wings! (These will be worn by our Monarch Queen, Kayla Jo, but here are being modeled by Evgeniya Radilova.)
Finally revealed! The 8 Butterflies from around the world that will be starring in ‘Dreams of the Last Butterflies’. Each Butterfly will be played by one of our amazing female performers, who will be metamorphosing into Butterfly Queens for the film.
Acraea Swordtail - Africa (Congo Region)
Large Blue - Europe
Hahnel’s Amazonian Swallowtail - South America (Amazon River)
Malabar Tree Nymph - India
Purple Spotted Swallowtail - New Guinea
Gifu Butterfly - Japan
Monarch - North America
Luzon Peacock - Philippines
Preparing to assemble our first set of Butterfly Queen wings. The wing fabric is being fitted over thin fiberglass rods, making them flexible, durable, and extremely lightweight.
Our first ‘real’ set of wings for Dreams of the Last Butterflies have flown in! The photo shows just one of the 8 panels, all of them photo-realistic - and when assembled, the wearable, moving wings will have a 9-ft wingspan! This set of wings will be worn by our Monarch Queen, Kayla Jo.
Wings designed and built by Randy Carfagno and James Vogel.

A behind-the-scenes action shot from our recent test shoot for Dreams of the Last Butterflies. We filmed a short test sequence with Flambeaux and Kai Altair at Attic Studios in NYC. The footage looks amazing, and will be included in our upcoming promotional video! Special thanks to Peter Clark for the use of his studio.
The final design for our Large Blue Butterfly Queen’s outfit, custom made by Wheylan Dean-Ford. This Butterfly Queen will be played by the amazing hoops/flow arts/fire performer Madeleine Belle.
